SMASH is a deep-skilling and campus-to-corporate readiness program designed for Engineering, BCA, MCA and MBA students.
Powered by the IBM Deep Skilling Program, SMASH combines industry-aligned technology learning, IBM certification, guided projects, internship opportunities and employability-focused skill development into one structured learner journey.
The technology industry is changing rapidly. Students need more than academic knowledge—they need practical skills, recognized credentials and exposure to industry environments. Students gain access to IBM-powered learning, certification opportunities, guided projects and industry-linked internship pathways designed to strengthen their corporate readiness.
Access a curriculum across emerging technology domains: AI & Generative AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Blockchain, IoT, RPA, AR/VR. Select 3–5 programs from available domains.
Students completing eligible programs can work toward IBM Global Certification, providing a verifiable credential aligned with their learning journey.
The program includes self-paced learning combined with hands-on guided projects across multiple technology tracks.
Eligible learners can receive an industry-linked virtual/hybrid internship with live project exposure and potential stipend/incentive.
Train-the-Trainer program along with complimentary IBM BOB learning platform access for nominated faculty.
Two live IBM expert-led sessions per year on Generative AI, AI Agents, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Data & Analytics.
Build practical knowledge through IBM-powered curriculum and guided learning.
Earn an IBM Global Certification upon meeting the applicable requirements.
Eligible students may receive reimbursement/incentive support through applicable schemes.
Gain exposure to industry-linked virtual or hybrid internships and live projects.

SMASH is designed to connect learning with practical industry exposure. For a minimum 80% of students, a 45-day virtual/hybrid internship with a ₹4,000 stipend/incentive is available, subject to eligibility and availability.
